By our count, over 150 wines will be on tasting throughout the festival so it's best to be fully prepared to make the most of your time.

Below are some hints, tips and highlights to get you in the mood.

    This year we’re featuring our good mates from across the ditch.
    Yep, you asked for it so welcome back out kiwi brethren after a five year hiatus!

    You'lll get to discover the wines from the deep south of Central Otago, to North Canterbury, to Marlborough and Martinborough!

    We'll be featuring each of them making the journey so keep an eye on the socials!

    To make it easier, we've gone full digital where you add producers to a favourite list, rate and (for the wine nerds) even write your own notes to reference and or email yourself later.

    With over 150 wines on tasting, we've asked some of your best local somms to highlight their favourites on the day and to categorise them for context! From Baller, to Emerging Talent, DateNight, Hump Day or Picnic Party!

    We've got recommendations from Sam Payne (Gourmet Traveler), Amelia Birch (Familia), Sean McManus (The Gidley), Louella Mathews (Trippas White Group) and more.

  • COCKTAILS AND BEER

    We'll all be in great spirits come festival time thanks to the our dear mates Archie Rose as well as our "whey cool" friends from Hartshorn Distillery (Tas) plus the delightful Bizzarro Aperitivo are all on hand with their delicious drinks.

    Plus, brews from Gippsland's very own Sailors Grave Brewery.

  • CHEESE!

    There is no denying we love cheese. Heck, our sister festival MOULD - A Cheese Festival is dedicated to it.

    So yes, we quickly recruited our cheese friends at Grandvewe (Tasmania) and Milawa Dairy (Victoria) to join us on the day.

    You can't live on Pinot Noir alone.

    By goodness we've tried but this year we've gone all out on not just more substantial eats.

    In addition to the cheese, expect plus meat treats from City Larder, La Bastide and Goose on the Loose plus Lucio's Pizza and Bar Pho.

    Who do you get to DJ a wine festival? Well, a winemaking one (obvs).
    With humble bragging rights sets at Splendour In The Grass, Listen Out, Big Day Out and Future Music
    Festival (to name a few), CHUX is well and truly primed to keep us in the mood.
