WELCOME TO GIPPSLAND

To quote winemaker Patrick Sullivan, he says ‘its as if they got to warrigal and said “lets just call everything from here Gippsland’ and he’s right. This is as much a zone rather than a region and can basically fit in all other Victorian wine regions in it. 

Yep, it’s massive. 

So to describe what a typical “Gippsland Pinot Noir” is near impossible. 

So for the sake of ease, we’re going to break it down to three main areas; Baw Baw (West), South and East Gippsland. 

In this month's box you have examples from each to help ‘get your eye’ in.  

It is by no means exhaustive, as there are many, many more wines to explore but we hope you see it as a humble introduction.. 

Plus, throughout the month we’ll be sharing a heap of stories, videos, maps and more (on the website and socials) to add further context and so you can hear directly from the movers and makers themselves. We hope these insights encourage you to further explore the region and, even better, spend some time in the region itself.
